Summer state of mind
Rather be in Europe? Why not virtually escape to Italy with us. The backdrop for part one of our recent campaign shoot... here's a brief guide to Roma, places to go, stay, eat and to soak up the Splendour della vita.
Stay
In this gorgeous city your step count will be high. So stay somewhere small but central so you can come back for a shower before an aperol and late dinner @thepantheoninn delivers and offers the perfect space for a bit of RnR or if waking up to a view of an iconic landmark is your thing the @doubletree_romemonti is next door to the Colosseum and is sure to impress.
Eat
Hard to go wrong in this city known for its flavours. Lots of lovely restaurants around Piazza Navona. Top on our list was @baccanoroma their 'Spaghetti cavalier with three tomatoes and burrata' is what Italian dreams are made of. Or if you are keen on a view head to @mirabellerestaurant where the food and view won't disappoint. We also enjoyed ice cream in the shade of the pantheon.
Where to Go
Dodge the crowds and take a horse drawn carriage around Colosseum to soak up its magnitude. If you're keen on the sistine chapel and the Vatican - pre booked tickets are the way. As for the Trevi go the earliest you can and enjoy the fun and chaos. For something refreshing, Villa Borghese Gardens are worth a walk or cycle round. Sometimes the sweetest bits are wandering the streets and soaking up the energy, the vibrant restaurants, live music and the people watching.
Wear
Comfort is key! Nothing too restricting and some soft fabrics to keep you cool. A zip up cross body bag is a must in this bustling city. Keep your gear locked up and across your body... while elevating your look.
